Abstract

This study aims to analyze the hate speech in Peruvian politics during the last presidential elections. The methodology is qualitative, through the analysis of the candidates' discourse (Castillo and Fujimori). It is concluded that there is a polar-ization between both parties' sympathizers due to the controversy of the discours-es that incite conflict. One position is against communism, which supposedly will lead to poverty, backwardness, and not a change forward; the other position states that if the opponent wins, she will continue corruption, and will not recover the resources that have been plundered from the country.
