Abstract

Five novel flavanones have been isolated from the leaves of the Costa Rican tree Lonchocarpus minimiflorus, and characterized on the basis of their spectral features. Three of these compounds contain an uncommon prenyl cyclization, new to flavanone chemistry. © 1987.
