Abstract

The recent development of ultra-fast phys. random no. generators based on optical random phenomena is overviewed. Examples of random no. generators with chaotic semiconductor lasers are introduced and described in detail. The generation rates of these random no. generators range from 1 to 300 Gb/s. Future issues are also discussed. [on SciFinder(R)]
