Abstract

A collection of many lectures given in 1973 on the technical modelling of physiologic control systems is presented. The topics chosen cover the major compartments of the systems and include: biochemical processes; pharmacokinetics; membrane transport, microvascular dynamics; growth, including food intake; visual, auditory and vestibular systems; the thermoregulation system; muscle; respiratory control; the heart; cardiovascular control; the kidneys; fluids; metabolism; endocrinology; the nervous system; and behavior.
