Abstract

Aims to asses the clinical knowhow of health care professionals in assessing and classifying obstetric perineal tears. this was a systematic review of studies done on this topic obtained from PubMed and CINAHL. Six studies obtained were used ton fill up questionnaires. Lack of knowledge of perineal anatomy and inadequate trainning on assesment of perineal injury was apparent.
