Exacerbation of chronic liver disease due to hepatitis B surface antigen after delta infection

Abstract

The authors report on three patients with a history of chronic HBsAg liver disease whose clinical condition worsened suddenly and who died; sera from the three patients were tested for the presence of markers of hepatitis B virus and the δ agent.
