Abstract

The objective of our research was to study the interrelationships of social anxiety regulation disorders, self-regulation of activity and mediation of emotions as factors of suicidal experiences formation. Methods and Material: The study enrolled 60 testees (36 young women and 24 young men aged 18-22). The questionnaires used were the following: 1) ``Behavior Self-Regulation Style{''} by V.I. Morosanova; 2) ``Social Anxiety and Sociophobia{''} (SAaSPhQ) by O.A. Sagalakova and D.V. Truevtsev; 3) ``Antivitality and Vitality{''} (AVaVQ) by O.A. Sagalakova and D.V. Truevtsev; 4) ``Suicidal Risk{''} by A.G. Shmelev (modified by T.N. Razuvaeva). The method of mathematical-statistical data processing was Pearson correlation analysis. Amid the frustration of important social teenager motives as a result of social anxiety regulation disorder, dissatisfaction with life in general increases, the prospect is evaluated negatively, thoughts of uselessness, hopelessness, helplessness appear, suicidal matrix of relationship among unmediated and negative emotions, dysfunctional cognitions, and behavior forms. Suicidal behavior formation and severity of individual parameters of suicidal risk (from feelings to thoughts and actions) is associated with reduced emotions mediation in situations of their high impact on activity, disorders of activity self-regulation (General level of self-regulation, unformed skills planning and simulation), disorders of anxiety regulation in situations of evaluation. We may interpret correlations as presence of intermutual reinforcing mechanism of self-regulation, suicidal behavior, affective tension accumulation in the system of psychological activity. Thus, due to the mechanism of vicious circle, the emergence of suicidal thoughts and behavior based on self-regulation and emotional mediation disorder, in its turn, increases the disruption or dysfunction of the style of self-regulation, for example, fixing the compensatory strategy of avoidance, or cases of self-damage and risk behavior. Dissatisfaction with oneself and the results of one's work, frustration of social motives leads to a chronification and intensification of suicidal experiences, time perspective distortion and negative prognosis, and the possibility of suicidal behavior increases.
