Abstract
It is shown experimentally that with a shaft rotation speed above 20 m/s the characteristics of the conventional magnetic-fluid seal worsen and at 70-80 m/s this structure fails to operate. A use of the constructions with the magnetic focussing structure on a shaft and external rotating working surface improves the high-speed magnetic-fluid seal characteristics. © 1983.
