This method was developed in 1924 by a multidisciplinary team led by Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner. Since then, it has evolved and been enriched by numerous research projects and the practical experience of farmers around the world. Biodynamic Federation Demeter International with the vision is to create a new level of inclusivity, where not only certifying organisations, but all biodynamic organisations can take actively part in decision making, activity and development of the movement on the international level. The purpose of BFDI is to enable farmers, processors and traders to practise agriculture for the future and for all people connected to biodynamic agriculture to take responsibility.
