Abstract
Iwakuni mill is located on the shores of the inland sea. Which makes an excellent condition fore receiving raw materials and transporting finished products. This location also provides an unlimited supply of mill water and inexpensive mineral resources from nearby. The mill started producing pulp in 1937. Then expanded its production to relating fields such as fine paper, chemical products. With the start of the operation of PM 9 in 1998, Iwakuni mill is producing 650,000 ton/year of fine paper. 70% of the product is coated paper.
