Spectral to the people: Towards affordable and easy-to-use spectral imaging

Abstract

We present and discuss recent research aiming at fast, cost-effective, and easy-to-use spectral imaging. Methodologies presented include using a stereoscopic camera with additional optical filters, extending the color filter array beyond RGB, and illuminant estimation.
