Abstract

In public and domestic drinking water supply and sanitary applications, thermoplastic elastomers are often in continual close contact with drinking water. At these points, they must withstand environmental influences, repel bacteria, and avoid contaminating the water through material wear. The statutory requirements pertaining to this are stringent and vary across the EU.
