Legislation identified through the NYC Council legislative record portal, 1998–2017 was systematically classified for relevance to four modifiable cardiovascular risk factors. We classified 7.4% of the legislation introduced during the Bloomberg Administration as relevant to selected cardiovascular risk factors.
