KARAKTER TOKOH UTAMA DALAM NOVEL RINDU KARYA TERE LIYE DAN IMPLIKASINYA SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF BAHAN AJAR DI MADRASAH ALIYAH (MA)

Abstract

This study aims to describe the main character of the novel Rindu by Tere Liye and to describe the results of the research on the character of the main character of the novel Rindu by Tere Liye as an alternative teaching material at Madrasah Aliyah (MA). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research is the novel Rindu by Tere Liye. The data analysis technique used is the text content analysis technique. The results showed that there were four main characters including Ahmad Karaeng (Gurutta), Daeng Andipati, Ambo Uleng and Bonda Upe. The character includes five aspects including honest character (shidq), trustworthy character (amanah), character conveying orders (tabligh) and intelligent character (fathanah). The implication of the results of this study is that it can be used as an alternative teaching material to support the character education curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah (MA).
