Abstract
Hangzhou embroidery is a traditional embroidery handicraft in China. As a cultural heritage, it had a long history and faces a precarious situation today. The preservation of Hangzhou embroidery faces several challenges, including product marketing, business model and technological presentation. The leading role of preserving Hangzhou embroidery, Yi Hui Co.Ltd, are trying application of new technologies and organizational strategies. Nevertheless, it is not only the form, but also the content, the process that embedded the spirits of creating an artistic handicraft should also be preserved. The interaction between cultural heritage and technology and social context is key to its preservation and development.
