ANALISIS PENYEBAB KOMIK LOKAL INDONESIA TIDAK LAKU DAN KURANG DI MINATI OLEH PEMBACA

Abstract

Currently there are very few fans of Indonesian comics because of the increasing number of foreign comics coming to Indonesia with interesting stories, visual comic art styles that look good which makes Indonesian comic readers prefer reading foreign comics rather than reading local Indonesian comics. The aim of this research is to find aspects of comics that are liked and most popular in Indonesian society. This research uses a quantitative method by creating a questionnaire containing open questions about the topic being researched and will be distributed to research targets. The results of the research show that Indonesian society prefer visual illustrations of foreign comics because they look good and interesting, while Indonesian people prefer Indonesian comic stories because the stories are simple and easy to understand and the stories contain comedy elements which make readers feel entertained, but other factors cause Indonesian comics to not sells well and is less popular due to the lack of promotion and marketing of Indonesian comics, which means that the Indonesian public lacks information regarding Indonesian comics.
