Abstract

Modern business conditions brought the increasing demands of consumers, uncertainty in the market and consequently significant changes in the supply chain business. In response to these conditions that includes the great number of risks, it has been shown that the efficiency of supply chain management is related to the level and adequacy of the implemented risk management system in the direction that efficiency of the supply chain management increases with the level and adequacy of the implemented risk management system as well as that the implementation of an adequate risk management system in the supply chain is necessary to maintain the competitiveness of the supply chain market. The aim of the paper is to point out the importance of introducing a quality and adequate risk management system in all supply chain companies as a significant factor of competitiveness and more efficient supply chain management.
