Abstract

The study was carried out between January and December 2016, with the objective of knowing the behavior of the Valencia variety orange (Citrus sinensis) crop in two agroecological zones of the province of Chanchamayo, Junín, Perú.Two 10-year-old plantations were selected, in Zotarari and Puerto Ipoki. In each locality, 50 plants were marked, in which the evaluations were made. The trial did not have an experimental design, but the statistical analysis was done as if it were a Completely Random Design (DCA), considering each location as a treatment and each plant as a repetition. It was found that the highest incidence of pests and diseases occurred in Puerto Ipoki. The largest diameter and weight of the fruit, corresponded to Zotarari with a statistically significant difference with respect to Puerto Ipoki and the average brix degrees of the harvested orange was higher in Puerto Ipoki. In general, the highest yield corresponded to the town of Zotarari (27.75 t/ha).
