Abstract

The synthesis of a group of indanones, tetralones, benzosuberones, and benzocyclooctanones is described. The compounds have various functional groups (amino, hydroxyl, carboxyl, fluoro, and derivatives) on the aromatic ring in the position para to the ketone group. © 1962, American Chemical Society.
