Abstract
The Development of Picture Story Books Based on the Folklore of Princess Mandalikafor 4 th Grade Students of SDN 1 Sukamulia.This research was conducted with the aim of developing a picture story book based on the folklore of Putri Mandalika as a companion for learning Indonesian. This research uses aResearch and Development (R&D) approach. The development model that used in this study is the ADDIE development model which consisted of five stages which include: 1) analysis, 2) design, 3) development, 4) implementation, 5) evaluation. The product drafts were tested by two material expert, one media expert, and twenty-six students of 4th grade in SDN 1 Sukamulia. The validation is result from the material expert obtained an average score of 4,8 which is categorized as very feasible. The validation is result by media expert obtained an average score of 4,5 which is categorized as very feasible. The validation is result by students at the small group test stage in 4th grade of SDN 1 Sukamulia obtained an average score of 4,4 which is categorized as very feasible. In the large group test stage obtained a score with an average score of 4,6 which is categorized as very feasible. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the picture story book developed is very appropriate to be used in the learning process.
