Abstract

Magnetorheological elastomer samples (MREs) prepared using silicone rubber and spherical Fe microparticles have been investigated by means of neutron depolarization (ND) and magnetic force microscopy (MFM). From MFM analysis it was found the average diameter of the microparticles in the case of the isotropic samples to be 4.85 μm, while for the anisotropic ones, 5.1 μm. It was applied and examined the neutron depolarization process in function the microparticle concentration variation and the sample anisotropy.
