The Effectiveness of P.O.S.S.E Strategy on Improving Reading Comprehension of the EFL University Students

Abstract

The present study aims to reveal the effectiveness of using P.O.S.S.E Strategy in improving reading comprehension for the second grade university students in Iraq. To achieve this aim, the researcher conducted an action research. The total number of the participants is 69 (Male and Female Students). An observation checklist, Pre-post tests were used to collect the quantitative and qualitative data of the study. The results showed that there was positive statistical significance difference on the students' scores on the post-test due to the treatment. Also, there was an observed improvement on students' reading comprehension.
