Abstract

Dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is the prominent replacement for the traditional antennas, due to less conduction losses at high frequencies. In this paper, the proposed dielectric material is a composite ceramic (Mg2TiO4+CaTiO3) with dielectric constant ranging from 20 to 21.A suitably fed rectangular shaped slot with aperture coupled microstrip antenna is choosen to get optimum impedance matching and other output parameters. The proposed DRA has been designed using FR4 substatre, rectangular patch with the dimensions of 14mm x 28mm x 9mm. It is simulated and analysed using HFSS software. The obtained results are proving that the proposed antenna is resonating at 2-4 GHz with good impedance matching of |S11|
