Abstract

Economie schools have discussed the subject of military expenditures from different perspectives. The point of view of the standard Keynesian economics and of the under consumptionist theories is relatively similar. They argue that military expenditures constitute the most appropriate financial policy instrument against economic fluctuations and recessions. On the other hand, many left Keynesian economists argue that potential positive effects of public expenditures upon economic growth do not valid for military expenditures. The neoclassical analysis regards military expenditures as a security problem. In this study we aim to develop a theoretical glance for military expenditures from different analysis.
