Abstract

Sustainable agriculture is an effort carried out to meet current needs and not interfere with future fulfillment This research was conducted in the Gembong Watershed in Karanganyar Regency The purpose of this reseach is to determine the sustainability status and key factors for the sustainability of rice and vegetable farming in the Gembong watershed The method used is MDS (Multidimentional Scalling) with Rapid Appraisal of Rice Farming (RAP-FARM) from three dimensions namely ecology economics and socio-culture To determine key factors using leverage analysis with perspective analysis The results show that rice and vegetable farming in the Gembong watershed uses RAP-FARM which is 48 44 in the sustainability index including less sustainable the results of leverage analysis show that the 15 attributes there are 3 sensitive attributes that affect the sustainability of farming The perspective analysis shows that there are 3 main factors that influence the sustainability of rice and vegetable farming: (1) rainfall (2) changes in agricultural APBD and (3) absorption of agricultural labor Efforts to improve the sustainability of rice and vegetable farming in the Gembong watershed are by improving these 3 sensitive attributes
