Processos erosivos acelerados, movimentos de massa e assoreamento na cidade do Crato - CE

Abstract

This paper outlines the erosion processes, mass movements and river siltation, in Crato (CE), based upon photo interpretation, field work and bibliography. These processes regarding environmental degradation are due to factors such as: geology, geomorphology. pedology, climatology and urban soil use. Through this investigation it was possible to outline that environmental degradation occurs mainly where population concentrates. Suggestions to avoid these problems and recomendations to recover damaged areas, are also carried out. as part of this preliminary diagnosis.
