Goszczyńska W. & Goszczyński J., 1977: Effect of the burrowing activi- ties of the common vole and the mole on the soil and vegetation of the biocenoses of cultivated fields. Estimates were made of the weight, volume and area occupied by soil from molehills. It was found that molehills exert a stimulating effect on the development of plants in the immediate vicinity of molehills. [Inst.
