Abstract
Data shows that around 25-50% of female deaths have caused by pregnancy, which can have prevented proper antenatal care. In Indonesia, maternal mortality and infant mortality rates are very high, according to the Indonesian health demographic survey data 359 maternal mortality rates per 100,000 live births. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of family support with antenatal care at the Public Health Center of lubuk kilangan. This type of quantitative research with cross-sectional study approach. The study was conducted at the Lubuk Kilangan Public Health Center in Padang for one week, starting from 6-11 January 2020. The study population was pregnant women whose gestational age was over 36 weeks. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data collection through questionnaires using questionnaires, research analysis using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test. This study showed 44.4% of respondents did not get support from families, 22.2% of respondents did not do complete antenatal care (PAN). Statistical test results showed a significant relationship between family support and antenatal care (PAN) at the Lubuk Kilangan Padang Health Center (p-value <0.05). There is still a lack of family support for antenatal care at the Puskesmas. It has expected that health workers provide education and counseling about antenatal care to pregnant women so that families pay more attention to the physiological and psychological conditions of pregnant women.
