Abstract

Research results should be shared in- ternationally and have to face interna- tional competition. This requires their publication in the lingua franca of busi- ness and science, the English language. This especially applies to the so-called top-level research. The individual scien- tific disciplines have arrived at differ- ent stages in the transformation pro- cess of internationalization. Many of the findings of German-language research in Business and Information Systems Engi- neering (BISE) are now being published in English. Since 2009, also the journal WIRTSCHAFTSINFORMATIK has been published in the English language (Buhl 2009).
