The early development of Born Global firms in the software industry

Abstract

The article presents a case study on the early development of five Finnish Born Global firms including Ecolane OY, Fastrax Oy, and Fathammer Oy in the software industry. The founders of Born Globals, firms which internationalise due to global business environmental changes, are technology-focused and match entrepreneurs with their start-up development models. The article discusses international business experience and the comparison between Born Global and start-up developments.
