Abstract

Studies on estimation of yield losses of Bt cotton due to major sucking pests revealed that significantly higher cotton yield 1577.36 kg/ha was obtained in the plot (protected) spraying with imidacioprid 17.8 SC @ 5 ml/10 lit. and acetamiprid 20 SP @ 2 g/10 lit. of water applied alternately at ten day interval starting from appearance of pests till harvest of the crop. The avoidable yield loss due to major sucking pests of Bt cotton was recorded to the tune of 33.73 per cent in unprotected (control) plot. The data on per cent yield increased in protected plot revealed that 50.90 per cent increased yield over untreated (control) plot.
