Estrategias de Afrontamiento, Estrés y Estilos de Apego en Cuidadores Primarios de Pacientes con IRC del IMSS Hidalgo

Abstract

El propósito del presente estudio fue determinar la relación existe entre estrategias de afrontamiento, nivel de estrés y estilo de apego en cuidadores primarios de pacientes con IRC. Participaron 60 cuidadores primarios de pacientes con IRC del IMSS Hidalgo. Se utilizaron el Inventario de Estrategias de Afrontamiento, la Escala de Estrés Percibido y la Escala de Estilos de Apego Adulto para evaluarlas variables mencionadas. Se llevó a cabo un análisis de correlación bivariada de Pearson, obteniendo relaciónes estadí­sticamente significativas entre el apego ansioso y las estrategias de afrontamiento de resignación y aceptación, y entre el apego evitante y altos niveles de estrés. A partir de estos resultados se podrán plantear intervenciones cuyo principal objetivo sea la modificación de estilos de apego y niveles de estrés en esta población.The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between coping strategies, stress level and attachment style in primary caregivers of patients with CKD. Included 60 primary caregivers of patients with CKD of IMSS Hidalgo. The Coping Strategies Inventory, the Perceived Stress Scale and the Scale of Adult Attachment Styles were used to assess these variables. Bivariate Pearson Correlation analysis was used, obtaining statistically significant relationship between anxious attachment and coping strategies of resignation and acceptance, and between avoidant attachment and high stress levels. From these results may raise interventions whose primary goal is the modification of attachment styles and levels of stress in this population.
