Abstract
Host range of a virus is one of the biological properties of the virus. A host is a plant that a virus can infect and within which that virus can replicate. A few of the viruses have the ability to infect only a limited number of hosts while a few other viruses have the ability to infect large number of hosts belonging to several plant genera and families. Plant hosts play an important role in biological characterization of a plant virus.
