Offensive aspects in team handball on different defensive scenarios

Abstract

The aim of this work was to identify offensive relevant variables on different defensive systems (closed, open and combinated), from the speeches of team handball coaches. Were interviewed (semi-structured) four handball coaches. Speeches were transcribed, tabulated and analyzed using the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) method. The analysis of results revealed that front of different technical and tactical scenarios presented, it is necessary to use specific technical and tactical elements and changes in the offensive system structure. The variability of the technical and tactical elements on different defensive contexts reveals a possible effectiveness of these to solve specific situations. Revealed variables can serve as a guideline for the process of teaching-learning-training of the offensive phase in different team handball categories.
