Abstract

Transitional metal oxides are important catalytic components in pollution control applications. High specific surface area (SSA) at elevated temperatures is required. We investigated the processing parameters that are relevant to the surface area of Mn2O3 powders. It was found that a lower precursor concentration and a smaller volume ratio of precursor to ammonium hydroxide could produce powders with high SSA at elevated temperatures. © 2002 Published by Elsevier Science Inc.
