Abstract

These abstracts include two articles that evaluate interventions with families: by Reisch et al. and Sadler et al. These are not 'family therapy' interventions but I think they may be of interest to family therapists in considering the wider systems impacting on families. The articles by Dunn et al. and Braver et al. have public policy implications spelt out for children's well-being in situations where their parents are living apart, and Braver tackles the thorny issue of divorced parents relocating and the long-term outcomes of this. The article by Rodrigues et al. looks at mothers' experiences of depression, after childbirth, in Goa, and at the cultural validity of the construct of postnatal depression.
