Narratives for war or for peace: Photography as journalistic diachrony

Abstract

The article highlights the relationship between photographic media practices and sociohistorical practices in various cases around the world over the last 10 years, highlighting the narratives of war from photography and its role in peacebuilding processes. Photography is characterized as journalistic data, the methodologies that have been appropriate for its interpretation and the factors that can enhance its communicative value. From the methodological point of view, the systematic literary review article RSL is based on algorithmic formulas and used as tools: Scopus, Mendeley and Vos Viewer. As a result, the photographic praxis is invited to recover those iconic narratives that prioritize the recovery of a memory for peace.
