Stereospecific functionalization of (R)-(-)-1,1′-bi-2-naphthol triflate

Abstract

Several examples of transition metal mediated functionalization of chiral 1,1′-bi-2-naphthol triflate are described which proceed with complete retention of substrate chirality. The transformations described demonstrate the potential of Pd(0) mediated reactions for the stereoselective transformation of the CO bonds in this substrate. © 1990.
