Abstract
Introduction: Currently, professional training has seen the need to implement new teaching strategies for the health area, one of which is clinical simulation, which has proven to be a useful tool for the acquisition of skills, knowledge and competencies necessary for the development of the professional profile. This teaching methodology facilitates the integration of theoretical knowledge with practice, allowing students to learn from trial and error, reduce the probability of injury to patients and experience situations as close to reality as possible. Method: Quantitative study in 220 students from fourth to tenth semester of the physiotherapy program of a higher education institution in the city of Cali-Colombia, which identifies the level of satisfaction with clinical simulation in students during the first semester of the year 2021 A google questionnaire was used for sociodemographic characterization and the Spanish version of the "clinical simulation quality and satisfaction survey" scale adapted by Durá Ros in 1998. Results: In high and low fidelity clinical simulation, the items with the highest satisfaction were "teacher training is adequate" with a mean of 4.42, "The role of the leader in the simulation is necessary for teamwork" with a mean of 4.17, and "Debriefing provides verbal feedback and constructive criticism" with a mean of 4.16. Conclusion: Students are satisfied with the clinical simulation strategy, being this a useful pedagogical tool in learning, skill development and acquisition of competencies.
