Abstract
This work describes a teaching experience carried out with 121 students of the Sales Techniques course of the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Universitat Jaume I Castellón, España), where socio-emotional and cognitive skills needed by future sales professionals are developed by applying cooperative learning. The proposed methodology follows a program of actions sequentially structured in five stages (including team-building techniques, workshops, activities and teaching cases). Moreover field work was done for the descriptive analysis of the data and the application of correlational tests. The results obtained after the implementation of the experience show high levels in each of the skills that make up the emotional intelligence of students as well as a high degree of satisfaction with the cooperative learning process carried out.
