Abstract
The effect of SPD treatment on the hysteresis properties of selected soft magnetic materials such as Fe3%Si and Fe17%Co steel is presented. The enhancement of the coercivity due to the mechanical deformation can be explained by the magnetoelastic energy Ehe frequency dependence of the coercivity and of the losses can be described using an eddy current based model. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
