Abstract

Focal Mechanism earthquake is study about parameter determination orient the fault area include Strike, Dip, and Rake. In this article, method of impulse of P wave was used with the determination of wave polarity such as wave of compresion and wave of dilatation. And also upload of first earthquake data with 8,1 SR scale and other earthquake with Magnitude >= 6.0 SR scale. Parameter determination orient of the fault area at Manokwari earthquake using computer with processing of data by Focal Mechanism program. From Focal Mechanism Earthquake results and others earthquake with scale 6.0 SR above are hence obtained a parameter value orient of the fault area in the form of strike, dip, and rake that is for the first earthquake with dimiciling 145ºE / 90º with the value rake is 83º. other earthquake with scale >= 6.0 SR,the strike value from 29ºE-172ºE and its inclination corner between 13º - 37º and the rake value between 82º - 110º. Therefore, after pass the analyse process of data, Manokwari earthquake was influenced by Reverse Fault and Oblique Reverse Fault. The Result showed that there was a change of pattern of mechanism tektonik locally at area becoming Main Shock and After Shock that were from lateral slip fault to turn into the Reverse Fault and Oblique Reverse Fault.
