Abstract

An interestiong classification of meson resonances has recently been given by Iizuka1 l and Sinanoglu2 l on the basis of a quark-antiquark system. Mesons are placed on Regge trajectories of this system.'l A straightforward extension of their idea to baryon resonances would lead to too many levels, however. In this Letter we consider a specific three-quark model of low-lying baryon resonances, which necessitates a few unobserved ones. Quarks are assumed to obey para-Fermi statistics.
