Abstract
One female specimen of Serranus hepatus (Linnaeus, 1758) (Perciformes, Serranidae) was captured of the Black Sea coast of Turkey by bottom trawl at a depth of 80-90 m on 23 March 2012. This is the first record of this species for the Black Sea. © TÜBİTAK.
