Abstract

This review will summarize the role of integrase in HIV-1 infection, the mechanism of integrase inhibitors and resistance with an emphasis on raltegravir (RAL), the fi rst integrase inhibitor licensed to treat HIV-1 infection. ©Elsevier Editora Ltda.
