Abstract

LTE is 4 th generation technology-evolution of GSM that has peak data rate up to 100 Mbps. Mobile operators have opprotunity to use this technology through frequency refarming. Their Frequency allocations that suitable for LTE are 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz. It is necessary for planning of both coverage and capacity before deploy that technology to know the number of sites (eNodeB). For that reason, this research discuss about LTE network planning in Jabodetabek for giving a description of the number of sites to deploy this technology at 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz frequency. The result of this research shows that the number of sites for 2.02 million subscribers need 2546 sites on bandwidth of 10 MHz at 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz frequency.
