Abstract

The author discusses the urgency of doing research and disseminating findings on educators' perspectives of teaching military-connected students (MCS). Topics include the definition of MCS, differences between two types of teachers in terms of feeling prepared and competent with regards to educating MCS, and the association of creating a safe school climate with well-being, safety, and connectedness and lower odds of depressive symptoms and suicidal ideation among MCS.
