Abstract
This paper describes a dynamic load balancing tool for parallel CFD applications on Microsoft Windows (XP and Vista) based PCs. The tool encourages the PC owners to share the computing resources and provides mechanism to ensure that the parallel jobs do not run on the PCs when their owners are using the computers, while allowing the parallel jobs to use the computers when their owners are not using the computers. The tool has been successfully tested for supporting parallel CFD applications. © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
