Abstract

This research aims to investigate efforts to increase students' learning motivation through the application of problem solving methods in the Aqidah Akhlak subject. The problem solving method was chosen as a learning approach because it encourages students to think critically, identify problems and find solutions independently, which is expected to increase their learning motivation. This research involved class X students in a high school as research subjects. This research uses a classroom action research (PTK) design with an action cycle involving four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative approaches to measure changes in students' learning motivation. The results of the research show that the application of the problem solving method significantly increases students' learning motivation in the Aqidah Akhlak subject. Students show increased interest, active participation, and confidence in understanding lesson concepts. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan metode problem solving pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak. Metode problem solving dipilih sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran karena mendorong peserta didik untuk berpikir kritis, mengidentifikasi masalah, dan mencari solusi secara mandiri, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mereka. Penelitian ini melibatkan peserta didik kelas X di sebuah sekolah menengah atas sebagai subjek penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan siklus tindakan yang melibatkan empat tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengukur perubahan dalam motivasi belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode problem solving secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak. Peserta didik menunjukkan peningkatan minat, partisipasi aktif, dan kepercayaan diri dalam memahami konsep-konsep pelajaran.
