Abstract

This article tackles the ethnographic accompaniments of subjects in two medium-sized Brazilian cities, Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ) and Juiz de Fora (MG), based on the itinerary method’s experience. This paper is comprised of two pieces of research, both aiming to analyze the experiences on subjects' lives, young people and women, from their participation in social and housing government programs. By utilizing the itinerary method, both researcher and subject create a condition of listening and sharing the living experience of urban spaces. Our objective in constructing this article is to reflect on social programs that aim to facilitate access to human rights. Such experiences allow us to reflect on potentialities and challenges so that these programs can make concrete advances in the right to the city, in its broadest sense.
